What are you doing for Valentine’s this year? We are getting married was Yara and Karim's answer! This wedding feature comes in February, the month of love, and the perfect season to get married. The wedding took place at The Westin Cairo Golf Resort where it was the most magical spot and venue to hold the couples photoshoot, wedding ceremony, and at last the reception and party.
The venue was arranged with a rustic-themed setting for the outdoor Katb El Ketab, where friends and family eagerly witnessed the bride and groom take their vows. The reception was held in an indoor hall which was also inspired by a rustic/romantic theme. The wedding planner chose string lighting and leafy chandeliers hanging from center stage. Wooden chairs were arranged along with the tables that were decorated with burgundy table runners, flower centerpieces, and delicate thank you notes written with fine calligraphy for each guest.
Although February is one of the coldest months of the year, it was shining bright on that day creating a marvelous lighting effect for the couple’s shoot. The photography style was a mix of brilliant black and white and color shots. The photographer was able to use the lighting greatly to his advantage as he took shots of the couple through an archway structure and within the hotel’s garden; he played with shadows and contrast creating a highly dramatic effect. He also used another technique capturing multiple shots at the same scene to create a story of what was happening with pictures. With this technique, he was able to capture the exact facial expressions and body language at the right time giving way more detail than a video ever could.

The bride Shinned with her beautiful smile and aura before anything else. She wore two wedding dresses on her big day and the two were just exquisite! She first appeared in a satin ballgown cut dress with a sweetheart neckline, ribbon at the waistline, and a crisscrossed backline. She wore a leaf-shaped headpiece, a sheer veil trimmed with lace appliqué, and her hair was pulled back into a classic updo. Later on, during the wedding reception, she appeared in a sheath cut, beaded lace, strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline.
The bridesmaids and the mother of the bride wore classic champagne/beige dresses which complimented the romantic theme of the wedding and elegant setting of the venue. The groom looked dashing in his white-jacketed tuxedo, shinning black oxfords, burgundy pocket flower, and bowtie.
The day bloomed with its spontaneous and beautiful expression of emotion. Smiles and laughs were drawn on each and every face. The bride was unable to hold back her tears of happiness on more than one occasion. The groom’s ecstasy and excitement lighted up the entire night! The dancing was wild and the moves were right on!
