This week’s wedding feature goes to Christina and Malik’s vintage wedding at Prince Naguib Sharkas palace, which is classified as one of Giza’s exceptional buildings. Built by Prince Sharkas, the last of the Mamluk princes about 22 years ago, the palace is exquisitely located on Dahab Island in Mounib, one of the most magical spots by the Nile in the city. The décor and architecture of the palace were purely inspired by the Mamluk era and traditions and was built using historical building materials.
The venue is an actual piece of art! It is defined with such spectacular details from the rooms, gardens, hallways, doors, to the windows and more. For planning a vintage wedding you would need to draw your inspiration from past decades and in the case of this week’s wedding feature, the theme highlighted Egypt’s heritage and history strongly. In fact, the palace would look quite familiar to most of us as it was featured in the television series "Ana El Shahira.. Ana Al Khae'n", and at the time we were all wondering where that superb place was.

First, we see the beautiful bride getting ready in one of the palace’s royal rooms. Mangawy, the wedding photographer, managed to capture all the elegance the bride exhibited with her choice of jewelry, gown, makeup, and bouquet. She wore a magnificent pearl headpiece with a floor-length sheer veil, finely beaded tulle wedding gown with a deep v-neckline and feathers attached to the shoulders, white wild-flowered hand-tied bridal bouquet, and golden hoop earrings and bracelets. Earth colors were her choice for the makeup palette, and her hair was let down, slightly tied with the headpiece and veil. On the other hand, Malik was a very fashionable groom, indeed. He chose a blue suit with a matching vest, brown shoes, burgundy handkerchief, and a print blue and burgundy bowtie.
The couple’s photoshoot was taken in the palace’s gardens, corridors, inside a vintage wedding car parked within the premises, and during a short boat ride, they took together before the ceremony. The boat was also built with the same style and décor of the palace, creating a marvelously romantic scene for the photographer to capture.
Afterwards, the wedding ceremony took place and later the reception and party began. The palace’s garden was beautifully decorated with a rustic-casual setting, romantic lighting, flower vases for table centerpieces, and a whimsical styled entrance and guestbook. However, most importantly the night was purely magical with joyous and loving spirits that filled the entire place!
