For this wedding feature, we decided to share with you a traditional/formal, indoor, hotel wedding with an alternative modern touch. When planning their wedding and KatbKetab at the Dusit Thani Lakeview in Cairo, Mayar and Adry opted for a classic theme.
The photographer started with taking shots of the bride and groom getting ready with their bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members in their hotel rooms. Afterwards, the couple’s photoshoot took place in the garden by the pool, shortly before the golden hour. We must admit that the hotel grounds were the perfect spot for Ehab Zakaria to brilliantly capture all the right moments, creating the most romantic shoot!

Since we can all see how beautiful the bride looked, we must mention the talented people who were behind this marvelous work. The dress was designed by NourAzazy Couture, the hair was done by Rizk Hair Studio, and the makeup was exquisitely applied by Dina Ragheb. Mayar chose a gorgeous hand-tied bouquet of bright colored wildflowers.
The bride made quite a bold move with choosing black for the bridesmaids’ dresses, adding a bit of an edge to the theme of the wedding. On the other hand, the posh seating, the ornate flower arrangement, the luxurious lighting, the grandiose head table, and the dance floor all highlighted the traditional decoration of the wedding hall that was elegantly designed by MayarWedding Planning.
After the photoshoot was over, Katb el Ketab took place in an indoor hall ready with an arranged head table and guest seats, right before the wedding reception started. The vows were repeated by the bride and groom after the Ma’zoon and prayers were recited by all. Cheers and Zaghareet filled up the room and escorted the crowd right to the wedding hall where the guests sat patiently in anticipation of the couple’s entrance. Finally, the first dance was performed, followed by the charming father-daughter dance. The night ended with everyone in the hall dancing wholeheartedly.
